Retreats! Empowering … a chance to just simply ‘be’ Retreat: crawl / go / retreat / retire into your shell To become less interested in other people, to talk less and take less interest in social activities Ok, ok maybe it doesn’t sound so much fun But retreats are simply awesome & I believe, a way of the future I think that people will enjoy two main holidays each year: one to kick their heels up, let their hair down, to be carefree and footloose and the other: to relax, recharge and restore themselves. Each of us have our own internal rhythms that we need to honour. Sometimes there is a need inside you to be the social butterfly out there doing your thing meeting people, networking, connecting … & sometimes there is a need inside you to slow the pace down, chill out, quieten & go within…… to check up on yourself, assess where you’re at, where you’re going, if the environments you find yourself in and the people that surround you are actually contributing to the great vision of who and where you want to be. Most importantly to also honour your body and your health, the vehicles that are going to get you there!! There is a time for everything ……as the lyrics of Pete Seegars’ 1965 hit ‘Turn, Turn, Turn’ performed by ‘the BYRDS’ point out so well: “to everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven …..” - framed in a reading from the Old testaments Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 Retreats are an area of Holistic Health services that I endeavour and very much look forward to stepping into. They combine my loves of travelling, relaxing, energising, reflecting, meeting people and sharing quality conversations, all merging together to bring strength and a clearer more focused vision of the direction you wish your life to move in upon returning to the big wide world.
