| About |
Growing up in wine country - Blenheim, Marlborough - in the northeast of the luscious South Island, Te Wai Pounamu THE GREENSTONE WATERS I had an incredibly active upbringing. Aided by the fact I am flanked by two brothers either side of me health, fitness and the great outdoors just came naturally to us. After completing a Bachelor of Physical Education at Otago University I started my working life as a personal trainer and aerobics instructor in the world renoun Les Mills World of Fitness gym chain, windy Wellington branch. After a few years in the fitness industry I did what most kiwi's itch to do .... collect some cardboard boxes, store your things in Mum & Dads attic, apply for a passport ....... & set out to see the big wide world. Whichever country I find myself in I try to find out about the indigenous peoples healing methods, local herbs and their health & healing philosophies. It brings the world alive! Forever fascinated with my path, I have obtained a few more qualifications and am currently studying to fufill my dream of becoming a Naturopath specialising in Naturopathic Nutrition & Herbal Medicine. I am excited about the future. The general public are becoming increasingly more interested in natural alternatives to health & healing and I feel completely honoured to be involved in making such information accessible to all. Interests: sunsets, MBTs, jogging, yoga, reading, writing, travel, patting dogs, indigenous peoples healing methods, laughing, flowers, contemplation, surfing the net, being inspired, hearing peoples stories, swimming in rivers, karaoke, trees, passing exams, daydreaming, nature, the great outdoors, Sander, astrology, breathing, doing things people say can't be done, walking, iridology, quality moments spent with friends, family and loved ones :-) Inspirations: Te Puea Herangi, Martin Luther King Jr, Mahatma Ghandi, Dr. John Demartini, Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela, Imaculee Ilibagiza, Mother Teresa, anyone who walks their truth ... and you? |
